Narnia's Lion Beats Kong

Neat, well-crafted, disciplined and family-friendly two hours does better than passionate, fabulous, messy and indulgent three hours. And so? (Obsessing about who's number one is part of what's wrong with this business and its media coverage.) Plenty of people enjoyed both movies, although they didn't do well enough to pull the boxoffice out of its slump. As expected, the total was about 5 percent down from last year.
