Snakes Redux
Note to self: next time you hear about a great story at lunch, run to your computer. Last winter I had a lovely Orso patio lunch with New Line's on-line marketing guru, Gordon Paddison, who told me all about the many innovative interactive ways they were marketing Snakes on a Plane. Well, I was tickled with the story but my plan was to write a column a little closer to release—the movie wasn't coming out until August. Bad idea. Pieces on this subject have profilerated like kudzu, to the point where I'm saying, "enough already!" Lesson learned. In today's over-heated media climate, there is no time like the present.

you got a story over lunch and you didn't run it? tsk! i'm happy if i can beat you guys by one hour. what are you going to do when i get to town?
ps - (you shouldn't have to run to your computer - you should have it with you)
