Top 10 Movies of the Decade
Let the arguments begin. The best films of the decade are, in my opinion, as follows. For certain, they won't be yours, though I do hope this list jogs the memory and gives you pause. These are films that had an impact. They shocked, dismayed and provoked. They unsettled people. They established legacies, won awards and aggravated more than a few. None is easy or conventional. That's what great movies are about. Don't agree? Make up your own list. I'd love to see it. Click here for the Top 10 Movies of the Decade ...
why stop at 10? kirk i want 100!!!

Entertained. You forgot entertained. Shocked, dismayed, provoked unsettled, aggravated... I can get all that every day by watching the news. What the news rarely does is entertain. That’s what movies are for. And if they shock, provoke and unsettle... while they entertain, I count it as a bonus.
It's okay to be entertained. It won’t make you any less of an intellectual.
Looking to a filmmaker for anything deeper than entertainment is just plain ignorant.

Waaaaaah, The Wire isn't on the list! I for 1 applaud Barry Garron for not kowtowing to the reflexive liberal "if there are poor black people it must be a great show" school of thought. Let's leave affirmative action in the schools folks. Wire was a good show not a great one. Go Shield!!!

Everwood belongs in the Top 10???? Are you smoking angel dust???? Everwood doesn't belong in the Top 10,000. I have home movies that should rank higher than Everwood.

8) Rumor Has It
7) Saw IV (blows away II, V, VI - III comes close)
6) Happy Feet
5) Grandma's Boy
4) White Ribbon
3) Sideways
2) Arrested Development
1) High School Musical 3

I think Step Up was better than Stomp The Yard - but Stomp was pretty good. Me and my girlz saw it opening night.

BJK's comment is weird. It's like he's angry at the mere concept someone might look at films for more than entertainment and turning it into an insult.
