'Got Talent' and 'Recount' recounts
-- The premiere of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” popped up a tenth of a point in the nationals. That means it is now the highest-rated series premiere of the summer (among total viewers and the adults 18 to 49 demo), edging out Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance.”
-- As HBO predicted, the ratings for its original movie “Recount” benefited heavily from repeated viewings. The premiere was seen by 1 million viewers. After multiple airings, HBO says that number is now 4.7 million – plus 200,000 orders via HBO On Demand.
-- Nearly a month since it went off the air, “American Idol” still has the most popular Web site of all broadcast network shows, with 11% market share of visitors. “Idol” ranked first last week, followed by “Deal or No Deal” (folks, gotta help pick out that next suitcase model), “America’s Most Wanted” and “So You Think You Can Dance.” Matt Tatham at Hitwise also notes that CBS’ “Swingtown” and the CW’s “Farmer Wants a Wife” have popped into Top 20.
