-- The NY Post taketh away: Citing the poor performance of shows such as "The Baby Borrowers," the Post says NBC could dump Ben Silverman ... well, yeah. But it's also a bit self-evident. The entertainment president (in this case, the de-facto entertainment president) of a fourth-place network is always on thin ice if ratings don't improve. It's the reason the person was brought in, after all...
-- Marketer: "The Hills" is more realistic than "Gossip Girl." Ohhh, that's low. Especially since both shows are watched because of their gritty and realistic portrayals of teen life. Oh wait...
-- Fox pushes altruistic reality series "Secret Millionaire" to December. Read: Network not thrilled with it. Manufacturing of devious reality shows to resume shortly.
Also: CBS buys right to "Streets of San Francisco" to make a new series that will seem initially familiar to its viewers but is actually entirely not ... HBO orders "How to Make It" pilot ... Two showrunners will share "Criminal Intent" ... ABC picks up French comedy ... HBO not renewing "Tell Me You Love Me," viewers can resume pretending as if their marriages are just fine.
