NBC puts 'Lipstick' back on schedule
"Lipstick Jungle" fans, Brooke Shields, NBC has heard your pleas.
The network has scheduled the four remaining episodes of "Lipstick."
The show will return to air Friday, Dec. 5, and is shifting the show to a slightly better time slot -- 9 p.m. instead of 10 p.m. The remaining episodes will air on the 5th and 12th, then Jan. 2nd and 9th.
NBC still hasn't decided to order more episodes beyond the original order for 13, but this move will help give the network some additional ratings data to gauge the show's potential.
It's a pretty steep hill to climb, though, particularly since "Lipstick" will be off the air a week, return for two weeks during the holiday season, then go off, then come back next year. Not exactly a recipe for momentum, but given the show's ratings, one could consider this a generous opportunity.
Also: Green-screen-heavy adventure series "Crusoe" will be moved from Fridays to Saturdays at 8 p.m. beginning the same December weekend. This ought to spell the end for the struggling show.
