ABC schedules 'Homeland Security USA'
ABC has filled another spot in its midseason schedule, deciding on a premiere date for reality series "Homeland Security USA."
The one-hour program documenting the efforts of security agents around the country will premiere Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 8 p.m. The decision replaces an hour of "According to Jim," which the network previously slated for the spot. "Homeland" was originally titled "Border Security." The new name emphasizes U.S. officials protecting the country against terrorism, rather than illegal immigration. A typical episode might jump from a border patrol in Texas to security screeners at a New York airport to a Coast Guard boat off Puerto Rico.
