AMC announces 'Prisoner' premiere date

AMC will premiere its ambitious six-part miniseries "The Prisoner" on Sunday, Nov. 15.

The reinterpretation of the 1960s cult classic, starring Jim Caviezel and Ian McKellen, will air two episodes each night over three consecutive nights (so for all practical viewing purposes, it's actually a three-part miniseries, but "six-part" sounds grander, doesn't it?).

Leading into the mini-series AMC will air ... "The Matrix Revolutions"? Huh. Okay. That's dystopian sci-fi, too, I guess. Meanwhile you can watch all 17 episodes of the original "Prisoner" series on the network's Web site.
