ABC Family cancels '10 Things'

ABC Family has canceled comedy series "10 Things I Hate About You."

The show is currently in the second half of its freshman season and will finish its run.

Executive producer Carter Covington announced the show's fate on Twitter: "Sad news,” he wrote. “ABCFamily canceled the show :-( Thanks 2 our AMAZING fans - U R the reason I do this! Enjoy the last 5 eps - they're fantastic!"

The show was based off a 1999 movie with the same title. It’s 2009 premiere set a then-record for the for a half-hour comedy on the network.
