'Jersey Shore' cast update: Situation, Pauly D signed

At MTV, The Situation is under control.

Situation Sources say MTV has locked up The Situation and Pauly D to continue on "Jersey Shore" for a third season.

Deals for the rest of the cast are either done, or very close to it.

Either way, with the heavy hitters signing, nobody is expected to hold out and production is expected to continue within the next few days.

As first reported by THR yesterday, the "Jersey Shore" cast is near a deal to return to work, with the top performers being offered nearly $30,000 per episode.

MTV had no comment.
