Tuesday ratings: Fox tops with 'Hell's Kitchen'

Despite a 9% drop for its two hours of "Hell's Kitchen," Fox won Tuesday's primetime ratings race in the adults 18-49 demographic on a night that saw most broadcast networks post declines.NBC ranked first in average total viewers (8.2 million), followed by CBS (7.3 million), which relied on reruns of "NCIS," "NCIS: Los Angeles" and "The Good Wife."
Despite a 9% week-over-week drop in the demo for NBC's "America's Got Talent," it was the night's winner in viewers (10.5 million). "Kitchen" hit the night's demo high (3.2) during the 9 p.m. hour.
Despite being in reruns, the "NCIS" shows attracted 9.8 million and 7.1 million viewers, respectively -- the best hourly performances on the night except those of "Talent" and ABC's 8 p.m. entry "Wipeout" (8.3 million, 2.9).
Fox's 3.0 demo rating for the night matched the two-hour average of "Talent," but "Kitchen" trumped the Peacock show by 14% in the 9 p.m. slot. Although "Talent" outperformed all 10 p.m. competition, NBC's nightly demo average dropped to 2.4 as "Losing It With Jillian" (3.7 million, 1.1) dropped 21% with its lowest-rated original to date.
ABC placed fourth in viewers and third in the demo. Lead-off "Wipeout" was down 3% in the demo but won its hour. "Downfall" (3.2 million, 1.1) lost 15% in the demo, and ABC News' 10 p.m. entry "Primetime: Family Secrets" (3 million, 0.9) fell 31%.
