JC Cam Demo Video

I went to a demo at Clairmont Camera to check out the new JC Cam on Friday. It's a custom rig built especially for a boxing movie that allows fighters to actually punch and kick the lens.

This video post, which accompanies a Tech Reporter column about the mount, shows cinematographer George Mooradian operating the JC Cam while taking some pretty substantive hits from a boxer. That's the voice of Jimmy Nickerson calling the shots in the background. Nickerson, after years spent working as a stunt coordinator on films such as Raging Bull and Fight Club, designed the high-impact camera mount for Cinamour Entertainment's From Mexico With Love, a boxing movie he plans to direct this summer. More info here.
