Is the music industry's campaign to stamp out music pirates not delivering enough return on investment? Both the Financial Times and Marketwatch run with with anonymous sourcing that suggests EMI may be looking to cut its $25 million contribution to RIAA and IFPI trade groups by as much as half. EMI was recently acquired by London-based Terra Firma Capital Partners and is now under a mandate to cut costs.
