A lawyer based in Illinois is suing The Chicago Sun-Times, claiming the paper made some defamatory comments about his legal conduct.

According to this complaint, filed in Florida County Court, Manuel von Ribbeck says the Chicago Sun-Times accused him of misconduct in soliciting family members of individuals killed in an Ocean Airways crash on December 19, 2005. The paper wrote that Ribbeck "posed as a psychiatrist and Red Cross volunteer and knocked on the doors of the grieving families as early as the day of the crash."

The plaintiff wants $1.5 million in damages.
