Nelson_peter There's been some movement lately in the upper echelons of Hollywood talent attorneys. In December, comedy guru (and THR Power Lawyer!) Debbie Klein left the Barnes Morris firm for Jackoway Tyerman, taking major earners Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughan and Jim Carrey with her.

Then yesterday brought word that the powerhouse Nelson Felker Toczek Davis firm is no more. Peter Nelson (left), another Power Lawyer who is best known for his aggressive representation of director Peter Jackson, announced he is starting a new firm with partner George Davis.

Nelson Davis is expected to retain Jackson, as well as other clients David Duchovny, Allison Janney and Tea Leoni. Joining the firm will be attorney Mark Wetzstein, previously an associate at the former firm.

No word yet on where Patti Felker or Fred Toczek will land.

UPDATED: We now have word! Felker and Toczek have started their own firm, Felker Toczek Gellman Suddleson, with partners Bruce Gellman, Eric Suddleson and Derek Kroeger.
