Pellicano Looks like a false alarm. No mistrial in the Pellicano case as Judge Dale S. Fischer ruled that striking former LAPD Sgt. Mark Arneson's testimony about a bankruptcy petition and scheduled foreclosure of his home would be enough to not taint the jury. Arenson's attorney, Chad Hummel, argued for stronger measures after a prosecution witness admitted to playing a role in forging the bankruptcy petition.

Closing arguments in the case are set for today, and after that, Pellicano's fate will finally be in the jury's hands.
