How Much Does It Cost For Phil Spector's Lawyers To Sleep At Night?Thu Jun 19, 2008 @ 11:14AM PST

People wonder why legal costs are so high. Well, here's one reason. According to a new lawsuit filed by the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, Phil Spector never paid the hotel bill for his criminal defense team representing him in the murder case. The hotel claims he owes $104,000, which with interest, comes to $110,000.
Spector's case ended in a mistrial, meaning he might have to book yet more hotel rooms for his cadre of lawyers. Fortunately, the judge in the case wants a speedy retrial and there's always the prospect of that $1 million refund he wants from the first lawyer who represented him in the case.
