Hudsonkate A good corporate spy is a great celebrity promoter. Or so says a new lawsuit filed against Kate Hudson.

The actress is being sued in Los Angeles Superior Court by 220 Laboratories, makers of a line of hair products featuring volcanic ash from the Vanuatu Islands in the South Pacific.

Allegedly Hudson reached a deal to promote the product before her environmental sensibilities caught up with her. The lawsuit claims she took the secret ingredient list to a competitor, Wildaid, who could make the shampoos and conditioners more cheaply. Hudson may have been attracted to Wildaid, which donates 10 percent of its sales to reverse the devastation of planet wildlife.
