Hollywood Docket: Charlie Sheen jail?; Dennis Hopper probate; AP vs. Shepard Fairey

  • Charlie Sheen will reportedly plead guilty to a misdemeanor offense stemming from an ongoing domestic violence charge in Colorado and will serve 30 days in jail. [People
  • Is a probate war about to erupt over Dennis Hopper's estate? [TMZ]
  • Mexican authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Bruce Beresford-Redman, the former "Survivor" producer, in connection with the death of his wife at a Cancun resort. [LAT] 
  • Saudi Arabia's religious police have filed a lawsuit against three Saudi youths who starred last month in MTV's "True Life — Resist the Power, Saudi Arabia." The basis of the lawsuit is "openly declaring sin." Isn't that MTV's slogan? [Reuters]
  • A judge is urging settlement in the AP's' copyright infringement lawsuit against Shepard Fairey, who created the Barack Obama "Hope" poster. The judge said he had a "feeling" AP would win the case. [AP]
  • A New Jersey state judicial panel has declared that being both a filmmaker and a judge creates an ethical conflict, forcing a provocative filmmaker to give up his other job as a town judge. [NYT]
