  • The House Judiciary Committee is taking its review of the Comcast-NBCU merger on the road, holding a hearing on Monday at the California Science Center in Los Angeles. [LAT]
  • Comedy Central's planned animated series about Jesus Christ has prompted the biggest names in the TV watchdog business to form a supergroup to preemptively smite the show. [THR]
  • The FCC may be too busy to do anything about Jesus. The agency just fined seven TV stations for airing too many commercials during children's programming such as "Yu-Gi-Oh!" [TV News Check]
  • Las Vegas hotel billionaire Steve Wynn is suing "Girls Gone Wild" creator Joe Francis for slander. Francis told TMZ that Wynn threatened to kill him. Wynn says it's not true and the comments were made maliciously. [Here's the complaint.]
  • Is blogger Nikki Finke violating new FTC rules when her staff writes about "Tilda," an upcoming HBO series based on her, without disclosing that she is negotiating for a financial interest in the show? The whole thing is journalistically suspect, sure, but it seems like a stretch to call it illegal. [Village Voice]
