Staffing: Superman lawyer gets a lawyer; music program in Georgia; EFF-er to Google

Some recent entertainment law moves:

• Controversial copyright attorney Marc Toberoff has hired Richard Kendall of LA's Kendall Brill & Klieger to defend him in Warner Bros.' headline-grabbing lawsuit alleging Toberoff improperly caused the families of Superman co-creators Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel to repudiate contracts with the studio. It's an interesting choice, considering Kendall spent years at Irell & Manella handling studio-side cases for the likes of Paramount, Sony and CBS. Now at his own firm, Kendall will be going head-to-head with Warner Bros in a case that promises to get especially nasty.    
• Kennesaw State University in suburban Atlanta is launching a new music management program this fall, thanks to a "significant and undisclosed" donation from Greenberg Traurig's Atlanta-based Joel Katz, perhaps the most well-known entertainment lawyer in the South.
• Fresh on the heels of its big win against Viacom, Google has lured Electronic Frontier Foundation guru Fred von Lohmann to join its ranks as senior copyright counsel. Fred starts today.
