- Teamsters members agreed Sunday morning
to the "last, best and final" offer from studios, averting a strike
by Hollywood transportation workers and others. They didn't get the 3% raise they wanted (2% will have to do) but the studios agreed to pay enhancements related to medical tests and drivers licenses and such. Will this be a preview of upcoming negotiations with other guilds? [THR]
- SAG has agreed to an AFTRA proposal to form a
small working group headed by their respective presidents to
discuss the possibility of a merger of the actors unions. [THR]
- An executive producers of the reality show "Shaq Vs." is Phoenix Suns point guard Steve Nash, and apparently there's an interesting backstory here. Nash claimed that Shaquille O'Neal stole his idea for the show, even hiring an entertainment lawyer to possibly pursue a claim, before settling for a credit. - A St. Louis jury has found that a woman who appeared topless in "Girls Gone Wild" had no expectation of privacy because she played to the camera, even though she didn't sign a release. [OnPoint]
