Read Portia de Rossi's petition to change name to Portia DeGeneres

The actress wants to be Portia Lee James DeGeneres in honor of wife Ellen DeGeneres.

Here's the full petition, filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, as well as the declaration of her attorney Michelle Correll in support of a motion to keep de Rossi's address and other personal info secret.

These things are rarely denied, so expect Judge Matthew St. George to grant the request at the hearing on Sept. 23.
