A few entertainment law odds and ends:
- Screen Actors Guild national executive director David White has been named Entertainment, Sports & Art Law Section Attorney of the Year by the National Bar Association, the country's oldest and largest association of African American lawyers and judges. He got the award today.
- New York's Kramer Levin Neftalis & Frankel is advising Robert Sillerman on his bid to buy a majority stake in CKX Inc., parent company of "American Idol." Wachtel Lipton Rosen & Katz is advising CKX.
- Grammy-winning producer and songwriter Emilio Estefan has been appointed to chair the American Bar Association's commission on hispanic legal rights.
